Recently, we launched a feedback form where every player could share their opinion about the server — tell us what they like, what they would like to change, and suggest their own ideas.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to fill it out. We received a great number of responses, and most of them were warm and positive. Special thanks for all the kind words about our team — we are genuinely working hard to make the server better with every update.
We also carefully reviewed the criticism and negative feedback. Some suggestions have already been taken into account in our development plans, while others require more detailed discussion within the team. However, the form contained so many specific questions that answering every single one individually would simply be impossible. Therefore, we have collected the most frequently asked questions — as well as some less frequent ones — into one large FAQ with official answers from the administration. There are quite a lot of questions, so make yourself comfortable and enjoy the read!
Below you will find the administration’s answers to the most frequently asked questions from the feedback form, grouped by topic. These answers represent the team’s official position at this time: some decisions have already been made, while others are currently in development.
| Server Development, Versions, and Overall Concept |
What is the server’s long-term roadmap, and up to which version is it planned to be developed? ✦ At the moment, development is planned up to the original 2.7 version with our custom changes. It is still too early to discuss what direction the server may take after that. |
Does the administration plan to add classes from later versions of Aion? ✦ No, there are no such plans. |
To what extent will the server’s future development follow the original Aion and Korean Classic, and how much will be based on custom changes? ✦ We will use solutions from Aion Classic that are applicable and beneficial to our server. When necessary, certain mechanics will be adapted to suit the specific characteristics of our project. |
Are there any plans to revise the character leveling speed? ✦ The current rates are already designed to provide accelerated leveling up to level 50. We also plan to expand support for new players by providing items and other starting bonuses. |
Are there any plans to reduce the server’s focus on instanced content and encourage players to return to the open world? ✦ Development will continue in both directions. Priorities will depend on the specific features of each version. |
Are there plans to increase server advertising and attract new players? ✦ Yes. Work on promoting the server and attracting new players is already underway. |
Has the administration considered launching a separate master server or a new server with the same custom features? ✦ Our current priority is to develop the existing server and keep it relevant for as long as possible. A separate server is not being considered at this stage. |
| New Players and Leveling |
Is additional equipment or other starting bonuses being considered to help new players access current content more quickly? ✦ Yes, additional support measures for new players are already being implemented. |
Are there plans to reduce the cost of skill books, especially those for levels 1–50? ✦ Yes, this is planned. |
Are there plans to make stigmas more accessible to new players? ✦ Yes, this has already been implemented. NPCs have been added where players can purchase the required stigmas. |
Are there plans to add automatic learning of basic skills when leveling up? ✦ No, there are no such plans. |
Why do the main missions provide almost no Kinah, and are there plans to add currency rewards for completing them? ✦ The main missions will remain unchanged, as their primary purpose is character leveling. Kinah can be obtained from monsters, trading, and selling items, while new players already receive equipment at the start. |
Are there plans to introduce a system that rewards experienced players for completing instances with new players? ✦ If necessary, a system with separate achievements and rewards may be added. |
Can basic teleportation be made more affordable for new characters who have run out of Kinah? ✦ There is currently no special teleportation mechanic for this situation. However, simple quests with Kinah rewards are available in the regions, allowing players to cover their basic expenses. |
Are there plans to simplify the quest chains required to unlock advanced stigma slots? ✦ No further simplification is planned, as an alternative method using acorns is already available. |
| Kinah, Drops, and Crafting |
Are there plans to revise the overall item drop rates from monsters and bosses? ✦ There are currently no such plans. |
Are there plans to separately increase equipment and weapon drop rates in instances? ✦ There are currently no such plans. |
Are there plans to improve the rewards in the Upper Abyss fortress instances, especially when completing the difficult mode with a small group? ✦ The rewards in the Upper Abyss fortress instances have already been adjusted. |
Are there plans to increase the daily limit for selling items to general goods merchants? ✦ There are currently no plans to increase the limit. An additional influx of Kinah would accelerate inflation and lead to higher prices. |
Are there plans to add or improve in-game methods of earning Kinah? ✦ There are currently no plans to introduce additional sources of Kinah for the same reason: an excessive amount of currency accelerates inflation and causes prices to rise. |
What is planned for the Kinah chest in Udas Temple, and what reward amount does the administration consider appropriate? ✦ Kinah drops from the chest in Udas Temple have been disabled. |
What is the administration’s response to the opinion that the server’s economy pushes players too strongly toward purchasing Kinah or making donations? ✦ We do not consider purchasing Kinah a requirement for progression. Demand for currency inevitably exists in an active in-game economy, but this alone does not mean that progression depends on donations. |
Are there plans to revitalize crafting and increase demand for player-crafted items? ✦ Crafting already remains a relevant part of the economy in versions 2.x, so no separate measures to artificially increase its importance are currently planned. |
Are there plans to revise equipment enchantment rates? ✦ No. Enchantment rates are tied to the system’s core formulas, and changing them could critically affect related server mechanics. |
Are there plans to expand the ways of obtaining AP, especially for players with limited playtime? ✦ At the moment, there are enough rewarding instances and activities available. New achievements will also be introduced. |
Why do players without Siel’s Aura receive only part of the AP when exchanging relics, and are there plans to change this mechanic? ✦ Players without Siel’s Aura receive 80% of the AP when exchanging relics. The remaining 20% is tied to the limitations of the Aura system itself. Changing this mechanic would result in excessively high rewards for players with an active Aura. This is part of the server’s current concept. |
Can the option to exchange multiple AP relics at once be added? ✦ Seals and Icons can already be exchanged in batches of 10 in Gelkmaros and Inggison. |
Is a system for exchanging old AP equipment for new equipment being considered? ✦ No, such an exchange system is not being considered. |
How does the administration assess the impact of multi-clienting on the server economy? ✦ Players are allowed to run two game clients. This gives them greater independence when completing content while also increasing the number of items entering the economy. |
Can a command such as .drop be added to display items and their drop rates from a specific monster? ✦ It is currently impossible to add such a command with reliable information. The server-side command displays incorrect drop-rate values and does not reflect the actual drop settings. |
| Open-World PvP and Rifts |
Are there plans to keep the rifts in Theobomos and Brusthonin, or is the administration considering removing them? ✦ The rifts in Theobomos and Brusthonin have already been removed. |
Are there plans to add permanent achievements, quests, or additional rewards for open-world PvP? ✦ Seasonal activities will include achievements and objectives involving open-world PvP. |
Are there plans to add more large-scale RvR content, such as alliance-versus-alliance battles or campaigns in the opposing race’s territory? ✦ Such plans exist, but there is currently no specific implementation timeframe. |
Are additional rewards for capturing artifacts in Inggison and Gelkmaros being considered? ✦ No, they are not being considered. |
Are there plans to improve PvP portal mechanics, including their frequency and the number of spawn locations? ✦ Portal spawn rates and the number of available portals are regularly adjusted based on the current situation and player activity. |
Are there plans to bring back low-level ganking and PvP activity in older regions? ✦ No, there are no such plans. |
Is the creation of small safe zones near the main fortresses in Inggison and Gelkmaros being considered? ✦ If necessary, these areas can be made safer by installing additional defensive towers. |
| Sieges and Faction Balance |
Are there plans to revise the siege schedule to accommodate different time zones? ✦ Our players are located across many different time zones, making it impossible to choose a time that is convenient for everyone. The schedule is based on online activity statistics and peak player counts. |
What does the administration plan to do about the population imbalance between the factions? ✦ The overall faction populations are currently almost equal. The main difference lies in the number of players actively participating in PvP and sieges. Additional siege mechanics are being considered. |
Is a temporary restriction on creating characters for the significantly more populated faction being considered? ✦ No. Restricting character creation could cause players for whom faction choice is essential to leave the server, so this approach is not being considered. |
Are dynamic bonuses for the less populated side during sieges being considered? ✦ Yes, mechanics of this kind are being considered, but no specific solution has been determined yet. |
Are there plans to make capturing and holding fortresses more rewarding? ✦ No additional changes are currently planned. |
| Dredgion, Arenas, and Battlegrounds |
Are there plans to change the Dredgion matchmaking system so that organized groups are more likely to face other organized groups, while randomly formed groups face similar opponents? ✦ The system already attempts to match premade groups against each other when there are enough participants in the queue. As the waiting time increases, the criteria are gradually relaxed to prevent excessively long queue times. |
Are there plans to encourage players to actively participate in Dredgion battles instead of remaining AFK? ✦ Special Dredgion events are held periodically to encourage active participation. |
Are there plans to extend the entry periods for Dredgion and Arenas? ✦ Extending the entry periods is not currently planned. Shorter time windows concentrate the active player population and help participants find opponents more quickly. |
Can target selection in Dredgion be fixed when an opponent belongs to the same faction? ✦ This can be resolved by configuring the “Select Target” key. In Dredgion, all members of the opposing team are treated as enemies regardless of their faction. |
Are there plans to increase the rewards or otherwise improve the popularity of PvP battlegrounds? ✦ Yes, this is planned. |
| Class, Item, and PvP Mechanics Balance |
Is the administration considering balance changes for Gladiators? ✦ Yes. Skill changes introduced in versions 2.2 and 2.4 will be applied in the future. |
Are there plans to introduce changes that improve the position of Assassins in versions 2.x? ✦ Changes for Assassins will be introduced as part of the future skill patches for versions 2.2 and 2.4. |
Are any additional changes to the overall balance between classes planned? ✦ Class balance will be adjusted as part of the future skill patches for versions 2.2 and 2.4. |
Are there plans to revise the duration of Fear and AoE Sleep skills? ✦ The duration and functionality of these effects will only be changed as part of the skill patches included in versions 2.2 and 2.4. |
What is the administration’s official position on CFG modifications and animation modifications? ✦ Critical CFG modification options have already been restricted. Animation modifications are prohibited by the server rules. |
Are there plans to fix the Gladiator’s Aerial Lockdown bug that causes characters to twitch or move in sudden jumps? ✦ Yes, work on a fix is ongoing. The issue is technically complex, and no stable solution is currently available. |
Can the interaction between the Assassin’s immobilization effect and Blink, which causes the character’s actual and displayed positions to differ, be fixed? ✦ A fix is unlikely due to the technical limitations of the current version. |
Why does a character sometimes stop before an auto-attack or receive a “Target is too far away” message while standing next to an opponent? ✦ The client may display a character’s position with a discrepancy of up to three meters compared to their server-side position. This is a limitation of the old client-server protocol from 2007. |
Why does the Templar’s shield stun fail in certain situations, and are there plans to fix it? ✦ This mechanic changes at level 53. At the current level cap, the shield stun already works correctly. |
Are there plans to fix the HP restoration method involving unequipping gear, using a potion, and then equipping the items again? ✦ Yes, a fix for this mechanic is planned. |
| PvE, Instances, and Bosses |
Are there plans to provide additional incentives for players to defeat intermediate bosses instead of heading straight to the final boss? ✦ Yes, this is planned. |
Are there plans to make older instances and low-level PvE content relevant again? ✦ Yes. Older instances will periodically be made relevant again as part of special events. |
Are there plans to replace cooldowns of several hours with a fixed number of entries per day or week? ✦ No. It is technically impossible to implement such an entry system in the current server version. |
Are there plans to expand the system of direct teleports to the final bosses of older instances? ✦ No. Direct teleports are only implemented in instances where the original mechanics include a door leading to the final boss. |
Are there plans to add a solo version of Steel Rake or another way for new players to obtain a Steel Rake equipment set and a weapon of their choice? ✦ New starting equipment is being prepared for new players, which should address this issue. |
Are additional world bosses planned, and can their rewards be distributed through achievements rather than solely through loot rights? ✦ Yes, additional world bosses are planned. |
| Events, DaevaPass, and Achievements |
Can future event durations be planned so that players can miss several days and still obtain the main rewards? ✦ Yes, we will take this into account when planning the duration of future events. |
Are there plans to vary event durations by holding both short weekly activities and longer events? ✦ This approach is already being used. Event durations vary depending on their format. |
Are there plans for more events that are not solely based on killing monsters, completing instances, or standard PvP? ✦ We try to alternate event formats so that activities are not limited to the same mechanics. |
Are events with temporary portals to the opposing faction’s territory being considered? ✦ Similar events have already been held, with activities taking place in both friendly and enemy regions. This format may also be used in the future. |
Are official PvP tournaments with live broadcasts being considered? ✦ We are prepared to support tournaments organized by streamers and other members of the community. |
Are there plans to reduce the amount of repetitive daily tasks in the BattlePass? ✦ BattlePass tasks are intentionally kept simple and repeatable so that they can be completed quickly and without complicated requirements. |
Are there plans to improve the contents of the paid BattlePass? ✦ At the moment, we consider the value of the paid BattlePass appropriate for its price and the time required to complete its tasks. No significant revision of its contents is planned. |
Can the BattlePass pet be selectable rather than random? ✦ No. Boxes that allow players to select a specific |
| Shop, Premium Features, and Skins |
Can the in-game shop be improved by adding a convenient preview feature and better item categorization? ✦ Significantly reworking the shop is difficult on the current version because its interface and logic are tightly linked to both the server and the client, and modifying them could affect system stability. However, the .preview 0000000 command is already available for previewing items. Replace the digits with the item ID, and its appearance will be displayed on your character. |
Are there plans to sell 30-day Administrator's Boon and current instance reset scrolls in the shop? ✦ No, there are no such plans. |
Can purchased and rare hairstyles be displayed correctly in the character customization editor without disappearing when the character’s appearance is changed? ✦ No, this is currently not possible to implement. |
Are there plans to add a wardrobe system for storing skins? ✦ Yes, development of a wardrobe system is planned. Work is expected to begin in autumn, but no completion date can be provided yet. |
Can purchased skins be made reusable at least a limited number of times? ✦ No. The current system supports either one-time or unlimited use of a skin. A limited number of uses is not technically supported. |
Are there plans to add a protective lock for equipment and other important items? ✦ The current system does not support a full item-locking feature, but we are considering similar functionality. |
Can individual parts of items, horns, and similar elements be made dyeable? ✦ This depends on the specific model. Dyeing options are defined by the model itself, and since we do not create these models, changing them is not always possible. |
| Interface and Quality-of-Life Features |
Are there plans to add a separate inventory cube for quest items? ✦ Work is planned to begin in autumn. This is a major task that requires changes to the server core, so the implementation timeframe has not yet been determined. |
Are there plans to increase the maximum inventory capacity or allow players to purchase additional rows? ✦ Work is already underway. The server side currently supports up to 999 slots, but the client side is not yet ready for such an expansion. |
Can a button be added to the mailbox to collect all attachments from selected messages? ✦ This feature can only be added with a client version in which it was originally implemented. |
Can the looting of quest and event items be fixed so that the same monster does not have to be looted multiple times? ✦ This issue may be resolved with a future client version update, but this has not yet been confirmed. |
Are there plans to add a feature for quickly switching between saved equipment sets? ✦ The .setuse command is already available for quickly switching between equipment sets. |
Are there plans to add the ability to save and quickly switch between complete stigma builds? ✦ No, there are no such plans. |
Can a stigma’s greyed-out icon remain on the skill bar after the stigma is removed? ✦ When a stigma is removed, the corresponding skill is also removed from the list of available skills. Therefore, it is technically impossible to keep it on the skill bar as an inactive skill. |
Are there plans to add an official stigma calculator to the server website? ✦ Yes. A stigma calculator is planned as part of the Knowledge Base update. |
| DPS Rankings and Statistics |
Are there plans to revise how a character’s average DPS is displayed on the website? ✦ Yes, the way DPS is displayed will be improved. |
Can players be given the option to periodically reset their own DPS rating? ✦ A reset is technically possible, but allowing it too frequently could be used to manipulate the rankings. We are considering periodic resets, such as once per quarter. |
Are there plans to expand the PvE rankings with detailed combat statistics, skill rotations, and other metrics instead of displaying only a single average value? ✦ No, but a separate DPS meter directly integrated into the game client is planned. |
| Technical Issues, Game Client, and Connection |
Will further work be done to address desynchronization, geodata issues, and discrepancies between a character’s visual and server-side positions? ✦ Some desynchronization and geodata behavior are related to the characteristics of the retail server. We tested changes to certain movement mechanics, but they caused more serious problems, making further intervention in this area risky. |
Can areas where characters regularly get caught on walls, floors, or small parts of the environment be fixed? ✦ This is related to the characteristics of the retail geodata, particularly around corners and small protrusions. Completely eliminating this behavior is difficult. |
Are there plans to improve the stability of the EU proxy and other connection routes? ✦ The proxy servers themselves operate reliably. Most issues occur on external backbone networks and interregional routes. We have updated the proxy software, which should improve connection quality. |
Are there plans to address periodic crashes and unexpected disconnections? ✦ The proxy algorithms continue to be improved. However, we cannot guarantee the stability of external networks and systems beyond our control, including outages and network restrictions. |
Why does the launcher freeze for some players unless additional programs are started beforehand, and are there plans to fix this? ✦ The main cause is restrictions imposed by certain internet service providers, which may selectively block specific servers or protocols. It is impossible to bypass every regional restriction at the infrastructure level. |
Are there plans to improve game client and interface support for 4K monitors? ✦ We do not have access to the client’s source code. Improved 4K support can only become available if it is implemented by the developer in a future client version. |
Are there plans to further optimize the game client for large-scale sieges? ✦ No. This is technically impossible on the current version. |
Can the game or connection be further optimized for players who stream while playing? ✦ No, this is technically impossible. |
Is the administration considering changes to the client or server side to reduce desynchronization? ✦ Such options have been considered and tested. In practice, modifying this part of the system created more problems than benefits, so these changes are not currently being applied. |
| Administration, Support, and Communication |
Can detailed patch notes be published significantly earlier than the installation of an update? ✦ The standard procedure is to install and verify an update first and then publish information about the implemented changes. Therefore, patch notes are published after the restart or at the time the update is installed. |
How does the administration plan to handle situations where previously announced release dates for updates or changes are postponed? ✦ Delays are sometimes unavoidable due to technical circumstances and testing results. Updated information is published once new dates have been confirmed. |
Why are some officially announced decisions later reversed or changed, and can such changes be made more predictable? ✦ The situation on the server changes over time. Decisions that could have had negative consequences at one stage may later become relevant and justified. This is part of the server’s planned development and our response to its current state. |
Are there plans to repost all important game-related information from Discord chats in official news posts and announcements? ✦ All important news and announcements are published across the official platforms. Messages posted in general chat should not be treated as official instructions and may become outdated over time. |
Are there plans to improve the quality and consistency of technical support responses? ✦ Standard response templates are already used for common requests. However, cases that may appear similar can require different solutions due to technical details that are visible to the support agent but are not always apparent to the player. |
Can support requests be submitted through Discord or Telegram instead of only by email? ✦ Yes. Players can register on the support portal and communicate through the unified system without using email. A centralized request format allows us to process requests more quickly and improve the quality of support. |
Are there plans to expand the moderation and support team? ✦ The current team is able to handle the present volume of requests, so no expansion is planned. |
How does the administration ensure equal conditions for regular players, streamers, partners, and participants who are personally acquainted with members of the team? ✦ The same conditions and rules apply to all players, including partners and streamers. The administration does not play on the server, and violations are handled according to the same rules regardless of the participant’s status. |
Are in-game polls being considered before implementing changes that strongly divide the PvP and PvE audiences? ✦ No, they are not being considered. |
